Maximising the potential of the Creative Industries

The Government has set out new plans to maximise the potential of the UK creative industries. It plans to grow the UK creative industries by £50bn and support a million more jobs by 2030, with £77m of new funding. This includes £50m to grow clusters of creative businesses in various locations, and more funding to help start-ups scale-up and turn creative entrepreneurs into CEOs.

The Ulster University, located at Studio Ulster, becomes one of three regional R&D labs to help provide the skills and infrastructure to stay on the cutting-edge of new virtual production techniques in film, TV and live events which involve using computer-generated imagery (CGI), augmented reality and motion capture to create ‘virtual sets’
