The Artist Taking a Sharp View of the City at the ArtisAnn Gallery
A New Exhibition by John Coffey
John Coffey is a painter primarily known for his exceptionally detailed cityscapes. His work has been shown in significant exhibitions, such as New Contemporaries at the Tate Gallery Liverpool, Camden Arts Centre, London Electronic Arts (LUX) Touring Programme and Soul Noir Festival.
These new paintings bring a cinematic quality to the less viewed corners of the city.
As all of his previous work at the ArtisAnn Gallery sold out, there is great excitement about the new body of work he has created for this solo show.
He has been selected to show at the Royal Ulster Academy show at the Ulster Museum and his work is held in the permanent collection of the NI Civil Service.
John was supported by the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland to produce new paintings for this show.
