Launches: Saturday 22 June 2024, 6-8pm Adrián Balseca’s ‘Nyctalopia,’ marks the artist’s debut solo exhibition in Northern Ireland.
The project consists of a commissioned research project that critically examines the impacts of car culture by offering alternative perspectives on the ongoing ecological crisis. ‘Nyctalopia’, or ‘night blindness’, symbolizes a collective condition in post-neoliberal economies, characterized by an inability to clearly perceive the current environmental crisis.
The project considers how automobile culture has shaped our environment, displaced collective mobility systems and reshaped the land within Northern Ireland. Join us to celebrate the launch of ‘Nyctalopia’ on Saturday 22 June 2024, 6-8pm. Everyone welcome and BYOB encouraged.
