“The arts have the power to reach across generations in our fight against climate change.”
These were the strong words stated by NI Arts Council Chair, Liam Hannaway, following his visit to a local artist’s “hard-hitting” installation on the catastrophe, at West Belfast’s Feile an Phobail.
“Artists like Lise who live and work in the city and throughout the country, have been, and will continue to be, creative climate activists – pushing nature’s agenda to the wider public, through their promotion of art-led activism.
They aim to help tackle public perception and awareness of the direness of this crisis.”
