The Vagina In The Room is a multidisciplinary performance piece by Juanita Rea in which she tells her story about her life as a survivor of childhood sexual trauma and domestic violence and as a lover of trees, art and life. Juanita merges spoken word with songs and monologue alongside soundscapes, visual art and videos to take you with her on her journey that traverses self-loathing with self-acceptance and self-love.
The piece offers insight into her healing journey that is founded on a lifetime of creative and contemplative practice and supported by therapy along the way.
