Art Unwrapped is “A Christmas Gift to the City” by Belfast City Council, National Museums NI and Ulster University. By celebrating one painting each year, Art Unwrapped gives visitors the chance to immerse themselves in that work of art and explore it in detail. The enjoyment and understanding of the painting is enhanced by bespoke tours from the University’s Fine Arts students who prepare a range of tours and explorations of the painting. These explorations vary from the life of the artist to the subject matter, the painting style, inspiration, influences and historic impact.
There are key dedicated days for Community Groups tours on Friday 13th December and Monday 16th December, but other days and evenings can be made available by request. We will also provide public Guided tours begin from Tuesday 17th December. Travel can also be arranged, and costs will be covered by Ulster University. Light refreshments will be supplied.
There will be 1 session each day from 1.30pm-3.00pm. If you are interested in booking a place, please contact: n.dalcz@ulster.ac.uk
