Fractured Memory – An Exhibition by Cara Gordon ARUA – 3 Jan to 1 Feb 2025

Memories Brought to Life by Award Winning Artist for New Show

Cara Gordon’s exhibition is a reflection on the emotional memory that places and objects hold for us.

Cara is an award winning artist and has exhibited widely throughout Northern Ireland and has work in many private and public collections. She is a member of the Royal Ulster Academy of Art and won the 2021 RUA Perpetual Gold Medal.

Cara was born in Belfast and studied fine art at Newcastle University. She lived in Spain for twenty years before returning to Belfast in 2010.

This collection of paintings, her second solo show at the ArtisAnn Gallery, is a reflection on the emotional memory that objects and places can hold for us. The objects depicted, mainly of little or no monetary value, hold precious memories and have associations with people, places and events of value to the artist.

You can also buy art from this exhibition through the Own Art scheme which gives you an interest-free loan over 10 months (and you still get to take the art home immediately the exhibition ends).
