Formed in 2023, Tempest are already regarded as a vibrant exponent of traditional Irish music and song.
Each musician of this powerful ensemble of traditional Irish musicians from Ulster has achieved acclaim in their respective musical careers to date: Brendan Mulholland (flutes), Bláithín Mhic Cana (vocals), Aaron O’ Hagan (uilleann pipes, flute, whistles) and Luke Ward (bouzouki, vocals). Firmly rooted in the heritage, song and music of their native Ulster from where many of the tunes originate, there is a focus on the singing tradition of Bláithín’s native South Armagh.
