Millennium Court is proud to present a special joint opening exhibition event in celebration of International Women’s Day, featuring the inspiring works of the Ulster Society of Women Artists (USWA) and the Arty Monday’s group.
This exciting event, taking place on Saturday, 8th March 2025, at 2:00 PM, highlights the immense talent, dedication, and creativity of women artists across Northern Ireland. The celebration will also feature live music from local female talent, making it a truly vibrant and engaging event! Ulster Society of Women Artists Exhibition The Ulster Society of Women Artists (USWA) has played a pivotal role in championing female artistic expression since it was founded by ten visionary women. Today, the society has grown to 107 members, continuing its mission to offer women a platform to showcase their work, connect with audiences, and inspire the next generation of female artists.
This exhibition explores themes of nature, freedom, and personal expression, acknowledging that many women worldwide still lack the opportunity to create and exhibit their work. By celebrating these artists, the exhibition highlights the importance of artistic freedom and gender equality in creative fields. Arty Monday’s Exhibition The Arty Monday’s group has flourished under the expert guidance of artist and facilitator Paul King.
This exhibition celebrates the artistic journeys of women from all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists, who have found a space for learning, encouragement, and creative exploration. Through new techniques and artistic practices, participants have grown in confidence and skill, demonstrating the transformative power of community-driven creativity.
