“Something Great! Finding Myself in the Belfast Circus” – A one-woman show written and performed by Jennifer Dempsey. A moving account of the early days of Belfast Community Circus, brought to Belfast celebrating Circusful’s 40th Birthday.
“Something Great!” is a 70-minute dramedy about a 21-year-old American woman who comes to Belfast in 1989 to be an exchange student at Queen’s University but drops out and joins the Belfast Circus. Her job as an acrobatics teacher takes her to different areas of Belfast, but also to new places in herself. “Something Great!” is a coming-of-age story about searching for purpose and finding it in the most unlikely of places.
