Ards and North Down Arts and Heritage Grants – Now Open for Applications – closing 13 May

The Arts and Heritage Service of Ards and North Down Borough Council is pleased to announce the Round 2 opening of the Arts Project Grant, the Heritage Project Grant and the Individual Artists Grant 25/26 for applications.

Arts Project Funding is available to arts, community and special interest groups throughout the Ards and North Down Borough area who wish to enhance existing and undertake new community arts activities. A maximum grant of £1,000 is available. The application deadline is Tuesday 13 May 2025.

The Heritage Project Grant is available to assist heritage events, projects or activities which take place in the Ards and North Down Borough. Non-profit making organisations and constituted groups that are located in or projects that are of benefit to residents within the Borough are eligible. Grants of up to £500 are available. Deadline for receipt of applications is Tuesday 13 May 2025.

Professionally practicing Artists living in the Ards and North Down Borough area may apply through the Individual Artist Grant for support towards artistic training or development costs, and artistic residencies to enhance professional development across all art forms (including visual arts, crafts, lens based, music, theatre, dance and literature). Grants of up to £250 are available. This grant opens on Thursday 24 April and the application deadline is Monday 9 June 2025.

Speaking about the funding, Emily Crawford, Arts and Heritage Manager, Ards and North Down Borough Council said:

“Our arts and heritage grants provide a brilliant opportunity for groups in the borough to undertake their own arts and heritage projects and our team are happy to help you develop your ideas. Artists in the borough can apply for financial support for professional development, training and residencies and I’d encourage artists to avail of this support to further their practice.”
