FolkDeep was born from a deep belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, especially those whose stories and traditions are often overlooked in the mainstream.
In a world where cultures are often commercialized or reduced to aesthetics, FolkDeep stands for authenticity. We are building a space where immigrant communities, artists, and young people can reconnect with their roots and express their identities through folklore, storytelling, music, dance, and visual art.
FolkDeep has recently launched a fundraising campaign to support its initial phase. This fundraiser is to help register FolkDeep as a Community Interest Company (CIC) – a legal structure that ensures any profits go back into supporting the community. Why? Because FolkDeep wants to uplift the folklorists, artists, and culture bearers who are often underfunded, unheard, and unseen.
