‘Moment’, the new Poetry in Motion Community Anthology was launched last Sunday at the Black Box Belfast. A truly beautiful afternoon was spent in the company of voices all featured in the ‘moment’ anthology. Poets from all over Northern Ireland journeyed through some of the worst weather in 60 years to attend and read from their work. The poems varied significantly and each poet put to words intricate snapshots of existence and experience. Mourning and melancholy was juxtaposed with happier or humorous times, past, present and future.
‘Moment’ is a Poetry in Motion for Community project, Community Arts Partnership’s programme encouraging engagement with creative writing and promoting local poets and writers. Poetry in Motion is supported by its principal funder, The Arts Council of Northern Ireland with additional support from Belfast City Council Tourism, Culture and Arts Unit.
