Student Placement at CAP

Masque and Trash Fashion coordinators Sally and Heather had the pleasure of working with St Dominic’s Grammar School student Natalie Magee last week, when she came to the CAP offices as part of her 6th year work experience placement. Natalie proved to be very popular, as she willingly helped with a stock take in the dreaded art store, something even the most dedicated of project co-ordinators have been putting off since moving to the new premises!

Natalie also got to shadow Sally in her art workshops with pre school children at Holy Child Nursery, on a day trip to the Ulster Museum with kids from the Spectrum Centre’s Art Den, and with New Lodge Arts at sessions working with Mummies from Holy Family and Currie Primary Schools. All was taken in her stride, she was even able to show off her knowledge of ceramic art whilst glazing a clay tile mural!

We hope that Natalie is able to join our merry band as an official volunteer with the Trash Fashion programme in the Autumn. Don’t be a stranger, now!

Students interested in placements or volunteering can contact our office on 02890923493.
