The This is Me project worked with a group of 14 primary school children doing both photography and animation as part of the North Queen Street Community Centre’s after-school art club. The centre, based in Victoria Barracks in Belfast, works with many different age groups from within the local area.
Katrina Sheena alongside Joanne Hamilton facilitated the programme over 6 weeks. With Joanne the opportunity was given to explore the local area taking photos of favourite places or things and then making a collage of what is important to each of them. Secondly short clay animation pieces were produced with Katrina, looking at issues such as bullying and caring for one another.
