Poetry in Motion Community launches ‘Still’

Poetry in Motion Community is pleased to announce the launch of an anthology of new poetry from across the region.

In the Summer of 2013, three one day poetry festivals were hosted in Ballymoney, Belfast and Enniskillen. These festivals provided poet facilitators and workshops to assist and encourage participants with the creation of new works around the theme of ‘Still’. Submissions were sought through these festivals and through an open submissions process and the resulting collection brings together a stirring selection of those submissions.

Community Arts Partnership would like to invite you to the launch of this poetic anthology, a collection of poetic snapshots and reflections

Sunday 23rd March 1.30pm
The Black Box, Hill Street, Belfast – (view on map)

Not moving?
Deep silence and calm?
The capturing of a moment?
Even now?
Nevertheless?
Equipment for the distillation of liquids?

The event will provide an open invitation to all to explore the notion of Still
You are very welcome to bring friends and family along to join in celebrating the launch of this collection.

Still is a Poetry in Motion for Community project, Community Arts Partnership’s programme encouraging engagement with creative writing and promoting local poets and writers.
CAP is supported by its principal funder, The Arts Council of Northern Ireland with additional support from Belfast City Council, Tourism, Culture and Arts Unit.
