WheelWorks supports children and young people’s social and cultural development through innovative community based arts programmes throughout Northern Ireland.
Earlier this year, young participants from Scotch Street Youth Club, Portadown took part in a WheelWorks Multiple Realities Visual Art and Confidence Building Project which was supported by the Community Arts Partnership Programme for InterCultural Arts Support (PICAS).
Multiple Realities is an ongoing arts led cultural development programme which encourages young people aged 8 – 18 from across Northern Ireland to explore their identity using new digital technologies as well as more traditional art forms.
The young participants involved in the project were aged between 14 and 16 and, supported by WheelWorks professional artists, partook in confidence building and visual art activity which resulted in beautiful, colourful images.
