Community Arts Partnership – Landmarks Project – Overview 2015-16

This short movie shows the processes, visual art and public art pieces which were made by several groups during 2015-2016.

Landmarks is a visual arts or ‘art in public’ project.

Participants are encouraged to produce pieces of visual artwork which can express their views of the world or their local space. The work can also reflect a particular resonance to their own community or the area where they live.

Participants are also offered the opportunity to work with other groups from different communities or areas, to create a joint piece of art inspired by a theme relevant to them all. We are inviting groups, rural or urban, from right across the province, to apply to take part.

If successful, a professional community artist will work with your group for up to 15 hours, usually over a period 7 weeks or so, and together you will make a piece of public art which will be owned by the local participants from your group and area. They will design and make the piece which can be displayed in your centre.

So why not apply? We have designed the form to be straight forward and easy to complete. Send it in to Landmarks Project co-ordinator Carole Kane at carole@comartspartner.org or to info@comartspartner.org before 5pm, on Thursday 12th May.

Or apply online here

Do it now, to avoid the last minute stampede and see how the arts can bring colour to your community!
