The Eglinton Community LTD along with the Eglinton Men’s Shed worked alongside artist Jasper McKinney researching and developing ideas for a potential piece of public art that will celebrate the rich and varied history of Eglinton Village.
The participants worked together to design a maquette using techniques in model making with card, wood carving, wood turning and modelling with wax. This piece will be an integral piece of sculpture when created using locally sourced materials and a true design from the heart of the village. We look forward to seeing this exciting piece of sculpture in the future guys, well done!
