Congratulations to Clare Gallagher, Winner of the Seamus Heaney Award for New Writing 2020!

Clare Gallagher is the Winner of the Seamus Heaney Award for New Writing 2020 for her poem Meabh at a Mirror.

Clare’s poem can be found in the Poetry in Motion 2019/2020 anthology ‘Vision’. While our customary launch event at Seamus Heaney’s Homeplace was cancelled because of the current crisis, Clare along with her fellow longlisted poets kindly read their poems to camera and these were compiled into a the virtual launch event.
