A text and image project that combines poetry with visual art, ‘Hoor’ brings together the work of two award-winning Irish artists: Jim McElroy and Ann Kiernan in a short video arrangement. Adapting the poignant poem ‘Hoor’ by this year’s Meath Cultural Services’ Francis Ledwidge Poetry Award winner; Jim McElroy, the video presentation adds a visual dimension in the form of interpretative illustrations provided by Ann Kiernan; winner of the Moira Gemmill Illustrator of the Year Award 2020.
