The NI Executive is consulting the public on its Programme for Government draft Outcomes Framework 2021. The draft Framework contains nine strategic Outcomes, a reduction from the fourteen put forward in 2016 and these outcomes will set the direction of travel for the NI Executive and provide a vision for the future of all citizens.
Community Arts Partnership, the leading Community Arts organisation, and advocate for a Community Arts approach to creative engagement, in Northern Ireland, welcomed the opportunity to contribute to the Consultation and we offer two documents below which address questions which emerge from the consultation document.
The CAP Outcomes document seeks to show how the arts sector should be included in morre than 2 of the 9 outcomes and goes on to make an argument for increased funding for the sector generally and for community arts in particular.
The “Creating Recovery – DFC Emergency Funds” outlines through looking at the ecology of our society and the role of teh arts and teh arts sector within that. In particular the document focuses on the potential to “Build Back Better” after Covid with particular focus on our communities and what communities need.
