Although the Cedar Foundation’s, “Youth Matters” group have had to deal with the restrictions applied to community groups, they have taken it on the chin and grown from strength to strength.
They have been very active as an online community, hosting workshops and get togethers with their participants. their main focus has been keeping up morale and making sure their members are well in themselves whilst being issolated from the rest of their group.
Our wonderful artist Fiona Ni Mhaoilir has guided them along in this journey through a Side by Side project where the group participated in online print sessions creating mono print cards with the overriding theme, Art at the Heart. The idea being that these cards would be sent to loved ones, friends and family with a little note to let them know they are thought about. The members also got to keep a piece of artwork which was framed for their own personal use. A very special little project where sending a handmade message by post could brighten someone’s day.
