Kumeu Arts – New Zealand Community Arts Project

Kumeu Arts is a buzzing community arts centre, not for profit incorporated society and registered charity that offers classes, untutored groups, events, workshops, festivals and exhibitions. Exhibitions are always free to visit and both galleries are wheelchair accessible. The building (located behind Kumeu Library) was once an Auckland Council works depot, but has since been transformed into a fully functioning, fit for purpose arts centre with two galleries and a gift shop selling art and crafts made by local artisans. This has been largely due to hard working and enthusiastic volunteers and committee members, our heartfelt thanks to all those who have contributed to our success, including our funders. is also the venue for Kumeu Live, a not for profit music night hosting highly acclaimed local and internationally musicians.

“To promote and foster the Arts in the South Kaipara area of the Rodney District.
To enrich community life, through cultural activities for the well being of the community.”
