Update on CAP’s Side by Side Project – Colourful birds brighten the Grove Wellbeing Day Centre, Belfast.

Over the winter season the Grove Wellbeing Day Centre, Belfast hosted a Side by Side project. Due to the pandemic, contact between Artist/facilitator Carole Kane and the participants was considerably less than usual, so instead, the group leader discussed some ideas with their facilitator, who planned a creative schedule to suit the needs of the group.

They requested to work on a collection of smaller projects, rather than one big piece of artwork. Again, this was largely due to the need for the group to be quite flexible due to the potential pauses should anyone need to take some time out, however, they still wanted to keep active and engaged. They completed a selection of colourful and creative items from paper-craft and were very grateful for the opportunity to celebrate their artistic talents.

These images show some of the little birds made by ladies in the group. This was one of their smaller projects and a favourite for everyone. Well done al all at the Grove Wellbeing Day Centre!
