Update – CAP’s TRASH Fashion – 2 Royal Avenue – Part 2

On Sunday, September 25th, CAP’s Trash Fashion programme delivered two workshops 2 Royal Avenue, Belfast.

Starting with some tips on fashion upcycling, participants then designed their own piece of no-sew applique patch to take home, or add to their garment on the day. The workshops finished of with upcycling metal bottle tops into funky key-rings and badges.

Trash fashion workshops were hosted in Belfast City Council arts and culture hub at 2 Royal Avenue, organised by MayWe Events. Coordinator Heather Douglas and Community Artist Terese Gorman worked for two hours with 10 participants, some of whom came from across the province for this workshop. Participants came into the workshop from a range of experience levels, including from a intergenerational and interability backgrounds.
