Now in their 15th year, the Writers’ Guild of Ireland Zebbie Awards celebrate the best in writing talent across stage and screen. The 2022 awards recognise the best scripts that were produced in 2021.
The Writers’ Guild is delighted that this year’s nominees include two talented Belfast-based artists: dramatist Vittoria Cafolla, who has been supported by the Arts Council and is a graduate of the Lyric theatre’s New Playwrights Programme, for her theatre production, ‘The Shedding of Skin’, produced by Kabosh; and writer Stacey Gregg, whose 2015 play ‘Scorch’ won the Irish Times Theatre Award for Best New Play and Critics’ Choice Award at the Adelaide Fringe, for her film ‘Here Beyond’, which also marks her directorial debut.
