The Arts Council of Northern Ireland has honoured five artists with Major Individual Artist Awards of £15,000 each, in recognition of their contribution to creative life in Northern Ireland. Supported by National Lottery funding, the annual awards are the highest value honour bestowed by the Arts Council, making it possible for the artists to undertake substantial projects that will make a significant impact on the development of their artistic careers.
