The Arts Council today published its Annual Review of the financial year 2021-22, recounting many of the highlights of the Year in the Arts in Northern Ireland, supported by Arts Council exchequer funding from the Department of Communities as well as National Lottery funds. With the last remaining Covid-19 legal restrictions coming to an end in March 2022, two years on from the start of the pandemic, we finally welcomed the cautious reopening of arts venues and the return of live in-person performances and activities. The journey to that moment is a story of remarkable resilience and creativity, as the sector rose to the challenges and continued to inspire and entertain audiences with amazing art.
