Belfast 2024 – Open Call for Creative Programme Ideas – Round Table Discussions – 7 and 8 Feb

Belfast 2024 is an ambitious creative celebration for the city next year. Belfast City Council will present a wide-ranging programme of creative local projects, events and city initiatives. Belfast City Council is inviting expressions of interest from the creative and civic sectors to commission a host of ideas, projects and events that will be developed with the city over the next year and be presented as part of the creative programme for Belfast 2024.

Open call for creative programme ideas

It is exciting to give an opportunity to support bid ideas, imagination and ambition to create this celebratory year of creativity for Belfast. There are three stages in this first open call. For stages 1 and 2, bidders must submit a form on Council’s eSourcing –  e-sourcingni.bravosolution.co.uk/web/login.shtml

Successful bidders from these stages will receive funding to develop their idea to a full project plan in stage 3. The closing date for stages 1 and 2 is Wednesday 8 March 2023.

Open Clinics

BCC has been running Open Clinics to hear about your ideas on a one to one basis and we’ve been so excited by the ambition and range of ideas the city has brought to us already.

The council is now offering the opportunity for people to come together for some collective conversations and thinking at our Belfast 2024 Round Table Sessions at 2 Royal Avenue.  These sessions aim to collaboratively brainstorm ideas, explore the main themes of Belfast 2024, hear how you are finding the process so far and potentially link you in with collaborators or partners that can help you bring your idea to life for 24.

There are 3 Round Table sessions planned with capacity for 40 people at each session

  1. Tuesday 7 February: 11.00 am – 1.00 pm
  2. Tuesday 7 February: 3.00 – 5.00 pm
  3. Wednesday 8 February:  4.00 – 6.00 pm

All 3 sessions will be following the same fluid format of open discussions at themed tables focused on our principles of People, Place and Planet…..  you can join any of them or all of them, the purpose is to get all the people who have ideas and want to submit to Open Call together to see how we can collaborate, inspire and find solutions for the ideas that are coming through to come to fruition in 2024.

Let the council know by emailing your preferred date/time you’d like to attend to Belfast2024@belfastcity.gov.uk.

It is possible to book one to one Open Clinics – 30 minute slots Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday up until the end of February, book by emailing Belfast2024@belfastcity.gov.uk.
