For the second year running CAP supported the Good Relations Awards by the Community Relations Council in partnership with the Executive Office. The Good Relations Awards 2024 is intended to recognise the increasing level of outstanding community relations, intercultural and peacebuilding work that is taking place across all our communities in Northern Ireland.
Glass sculptor Natasha Duddy rendered four awards based on the initial design by CAP’s Landmarks Co-ordinator and glass artist Tracey McVerry.
On the back of each of the four awards was a QR that linked the viewer to a website that featured four poets whose outstanding haiku reflected the values of Good Relations. The four poets featured this year included Sue Steging, Alison Ross, Bronagh Mallon and Florence Heyhoe. The Videos of the poets Haikus can be seen at the first link below. The QR code also features a video of glass sculptor Natasha Duddy as she rendered the awards and a short interview with CAP’s CEO Conor Shields and you can see those videos at the second and third link below.
