CALL OUT!!
As we enter our 25th year of operations, we wanted to renew our offer to artists as well as community organisations. Our CEMENT programme, funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, seeks to recognise truly inspirational career community artists and support them as mentors for the next generation of community artists to emerge.
But it also gives voluntary and community sector organisations unprecedented support in not only collaborating on the development of their community arts project, but access to two supported artists to facilitate that project.
CEMENT : Community Engagement, Mentorship, Education, Networking and Training
COMMUNITY GROUP CALL OUT:
Does your organisation enjoy participating in new projects?
Could your centre host a creative project that is fully supported, over a number of months, in, for example, mosaic, photography, fashion, visual arts and crafts, mural making, dance and movement etc?
Perhaps your group enjoyed a short term project and now wants to delve a little deeper – learning a range of skills and not just around creativity, that would benefit your community group over the longer term?
We offer:
- Fully supported artists – we offer two artists working with your centre, with materials and support, at no charge to your organisation*
- Education and mentoring around how to host and collaborate in community arts projects
- Support to develop applications for further projects
- A chance to explore your area or local issues through creative engagement
- High profile exposure on the CAP website and socials, the go-to online space for all community arts news and more!
If you’ve worked with us before, or are thinking about community arts for the first time, please fill in our consultation form and let us know how we can help you get creative.
