A few weeks ago, the Jethro Centre hosted a special event to celebrate their new mural, “Diversity Tapestry”. The event marked their contribution to Good Relations Week and also overlapped with their monthly Practitioners Meet-up.
The mural was designed as part of a Community Engagement Programme organised by Community Arts Partnership (CAP) and was facilitated by artist Visual Waste (Dean Kane). The painted images portray the range of activates, cultures and lifestyles of the people who use the building. Many of the participants on this project attended the event with some of the community representatives from the Practitioners Meet-up.
