The Monthly interviews poet and prose writer, Dawn Watson – Part 3 – A digital profile

Do you have a social media or digital profile for your work?

Yep, I’m @yopopodawn on Instagram and recently ventured across to Bluesky (same handle). I’m not sure I have it in me to start doing again in Bluesky what used to be twitter. I have real “I’m getting the last bus home” energy around it all. I’ll lurk for a while and see how it goes. Oh, I’ve a website which is dawnwatson.co.uk

Where to now?

Well, I teach in the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s, so you’ll find me there most days. I’m working on book number two, which is something like a verse novel looking at our experience of time and being. I also have a witty, floppy-haired teenage son who is doing GCSEs this year – and getting better grades than I did, that’s for sure.
