What is your relationship to the new all-island dance company, Luail?
I am the currently the dance artist in residence with Luail
Will you be part of producing new work with the company?
I won’t be producing new work with Luail but as part of my residency I was involved in the audition process as well as working with the now formed ensemble, teaching class and assisting with rehearsals.I am also a resource for the dancers to help them meet all the demands of being in, and touring with, a full time company.
What will we see in 2025 from you and the Luail?
The residency with Luail has also allowed me time to expand and refine my practice as performer and I plan to take some acting courses, and work with an acting coach, to open up more avenues for my work in both theatre and dance.
2025 is off to a busy start. I’ll have shows with the Irish Modern Dance Theatre in New York, then touring Emma Martin’s Nightdances around Ireland, then prepping for Luke Murphy’s Premier of Scorched Earth in the Abbey theatre as part of the 21st edition Dublin Dance Festival. This will happen alongside the World Premier of Chora by Luail in the Board Gais and then to the Lyric Theatre in May, and it is not to be missed!
