Dumbworld – Company Manager – closing 23 June

Status: Full-Time (35 hours/week, Monday to Friday)

Salary: £28,000 per annum (reviewed annually) + 3% employer’s pension contribution

Reports to: Dumbworld Board

Line Management: Artistic Directors

Base: Dumbworld Office, 72 High St, Belfast, BT1 2BE (regular presence required)

About the Role

Dumbworld is seeking an experienced and motivated Company Manager to join our team at an exciting time of artistic and organizational growth. Working closely with the Artistic Directors and reporting to the Board, the Company Manager will oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the company’s operations, finances, projects, and communications. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong initiative, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for the arts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations, internal systems, and organisational administration
  • Oversee financial processes, including budgeting, reporting, and liaising with accountants and funders
  • Coordinate staffing, contracting, and team communications across freelance and core teams
  • Develop and deliver marketing and communications activity, including PR, campaigns, and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage digital delivery and touring activity, including planning, coordination, and audience engagement for online platforms
  • Maintain funder compliance and reporting, contributing to fundraising and income development
  • Manage logistical planning for events, performances, and workshops, including artist and audience care
  • Support governance, including Board administration, policy development, and audit preparation
  • Ensure delivery standards in health & safety, safeguarding, and front-of-house
  • Represent the organization professionally with stakeholders, partners, and the wider public
