Fighting Words NI – Word Warriors for 8 to 11 Yrs – starts 6 Aug

Words Warriors is back for another summer!

This free creative writing camp is for young people aged 8-11 and will take place on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 10.30am to 12:30pm.

The sessions will run during the first three weeks of August starting on the 6th of August and all sessions will take place at the Seamus Heaney Centre, at Queen’s University Belfast (38-40 University Road, BT7 1NJ).

You can sign up for as many or as few as you like! Please note that in the event a session becomes full, priority will be given to participants who have signed up for multiple weeks.

The session outlines are as follows:

  • Session 1: Wednesday 6th August – Storymaking
  • Session 2: Thursday 7th August – Songwriting
  • Session 3: Wednesday 13th August – Non-Fiction
  • Session 4: Thursday 14th August – Poetry
  • Session 5: Wednesday 20th August – Scriptwriting
  • Session 6: Thursday 21st August – Giant Pencil Making, Crafts and Writing Showcase

At the end of the 6 weeks we will publish the participants work in a digital book.
