Young at Art is recruiting for the post of Finance and Office Administrator – closing 10 July

Young at Art is Northern Ireland’s leading children’s arts organisation and producer of the annual Belfast Children’s Festival. It is a small but busy charity (approximate turnover £480k).

Young at Art’s Finance & Office Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our finance and office systems and be a key member in the small but experienced team that each year delivers the Belfast Children’s Festival.

Your everyday finance duties will include bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll, banking and monthly reconciliations, debtor and cash flow management. You’ll report to the General Manager and help them prepare quarterly management reports and for the end of the financial year and audit. You’ll work with the Director on the financial aspects of grant applications, management and reporting.

Your everyday office tasks will include maintenance, dealing with suppliers including IT and telecoms, post and office supplies and hospitality/catering. You’ll play a key role in supporting our data collection and helping us track our carbon footprint and encouraging sustainability. You’ll support the General Manager with company/charity compliance and reporting.

Producing the Belfast Children’s Festival involves our whole team. Your key tasks will be supporting the General Manager with securing and supporting our festival casuals and volunteers and overseeing the financial back up for our box office.

To fulfil this role, we’re looking for someone who is methodical, accurate and likes detail, can work on their own initiative but likes being part of a close-knit team, has experience of office finances and wants to use their skills to help provide exceptional arts experiences for children and young people in Northern Ireland.

This is a new role is offered on a permanent and part-time basis (22.5 hours per week).

Funding for this post is received from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Belfast City Council.
