Fused glass expert Keith Sheppard will guide you in designing and making your own handkerchief shaped glass vase. You will begin by making a 20cm square glass panel to which you can add colour and design from a range of sheet glass, rods, powder frit (small pieces of glass) and even liquid glass – the creative possibilities are endless.
The workshop will include demonstrations, advice on various techniques, guidance and practical safety advice to enable you to create your own unique, colourful glass work of art.
Your finished piece will go to Keith’s studio for firing and slumping (shaping) into the contemporary glass vase and will be returned to ISLAND Arts Centre for your collection.
