Here is Caroline’s description of what they’ve been up to…
Interwoven Dolmens Climate action group in Castlewellan started their workshops by firing ideas across and the main ones that stood out was environment, our oceans, and recycling. We started creating some ideas boards and learning how to turn an old t-shirt into one continuous length of yarn. it was decided to weave a St Brigid’s cloak for an up coming event. Everyone spent time beach combing, litter picking and collecting items to weave with. The next 2 workshops was spent making a warp for a large peg loom and weaving our recycled yarn and found items from the beach. We are making great progress and everyone is very excited to be learning new techniques and meeting like minded people.
