New Skills for life and Work programme “Launch Pad”

  • New Skills for Life and Work programme “Launchpad” starting Feb 2026
  • Based on the Creative and Digital industries
  • 2 year programme for Young people that have completed their full 12 years in education (up to 5th year) but are no longer in Education, employment or training (Note some young people may be in school at the minute but are deciding to leave after Christmas – take their information)
  • Aged 16-17 years old / up to age 22 if they have a disability or 24 if they are a care experienced YP
  • Commit up to 30hrs week on the programme
  • No or little qualifications in school (I will check this if interested)
  • Weekly training allowance of £40 (which is non means tested)
  • Participants will receive qualifications in the following areas:
    • Personal, social and employability skills
    • Professional and technical learning
    • Essential skills in English, maths and ICT
  • Must be interested in the Digital and Creative industries covering the likes of the following courses: Animation, Podcasting, Coding, Film making, Game design, DJing & Graphic Design for example
  • All young people will take part in Work experience relevant to their new vocational skills throughout the programme
  • One to one support throughout
