Shared Island – “Sharing Songs, Unforgettable Voices” programme – video

This short film by Michael MacBroom captures a two-year collaboration between two dementia-inclusive community choirs from across the island of Ireland.

Featuring This is Me Choir (Larne, Co. Antrim) and The Forget Me Nots (Co. Dublin) and Community Arts Partnership (Belfast), the project celebrates connection, creativity, friendship and shared experience across borders through music and community.

A Gala event was held on Saturday 21 February in the Great Hall at Parliament Buildings, Stormont, Belfast — a special moment bringing both choirs together in a shared performance.

This is a Shared Island project supported and funded by Creative Ireland and Fingal County Council. As part of a Shared Island initiative, this project highlights the impact of inclusive arts practice in supporting people living with dementia and strengthening cross-community relationships.
