Belfast Malaysian Night 2026 – ‘Telan’ – 14 Apr

Belfast Malaysian Night 2026 is a cultural event and musical production by Queen’s University Belfast Malaysian Student Society of Northern Ireland.

This year’s musical, Telan, reimagines the Malaysian folklore Batu Belah Batu Bertangkup (The Boulder That Splits) and explores themes of identity, heritage, and the impact of personal choices across generations. Emotionally engaging and thought-provoking, Telan invites audiences to reflect on whether our destinies are inherited or shaped by the choices we make.

A local Malaysian delight, roti canai, will be served during the intermission. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a lucky draw with exciting prizes, with the first prize being AirPods (4th generation)!
