Festival Makers Conference 2026 – 21 to 23 May – booking open

The Arts Council in partnership with the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Atlantic Technological University (ATU), the British Council and Create: supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) present two conference events: Festival Makers andFestival Makers Connect over three days in Sligo.

The Festival Makers Conference is Ireland’s national gathering for festivalmakers and festival stakeholders, bringing together practitioners that organise and support festivals through conversation, networking and shared learning.

The conference will for the first time be all-island; bringing together festivalmakers from across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The conference theme for 2026 is FLUX: Resilient Together. The programme will feature keynote talks, panel discussions and workshops addressing key themes including collaboration & partnership, navigating change, adaptation and sustainability, strengthening sectoral voice and collaboration and new horizons & future planning.
