You are invited to the launch of ‘The Thirteenth Moon,’ the latest collection from Bangor poet Moyra Donaldson (published by Doire Press) in Bangor Abbey on Friday 29 May 2026 at 7.30 pm. Moyra is a poet and creative writing facilitator. Her awards include the Woman’s National Poetry Competition, The Allingham Award, The Cúirt New Writing Award, North West Words Poetry Award and the Belfast Year of the Writer Award. Moyra has been widely published in magazines, journals, and anthologies in Europe, Australia and the USA and her poems have been featured on BBC Radio and television. She has also read at festivals in Europe, Canada, and the USA.
Moyra will be joined by renowned musician Rachel McCarthy and local guest poets, Amy Louise Wyatt, Paul Daniel Rafferty, Iain Campbell and Gifford Savage.
Admission is free and includes complimentary refreshments.
