Creative Peninsula 2026 is now live and open for bookings, with a full programme of workshops, exhibitions and events happening throughout August!

Taking place across Ards and North Down and coinciding with August Craft Month, the festival celebrates the work of professionally practising artists and makers, offering visitors the chance to experience open studios, exhibitions, live demonstrations and hands-on creative opportunities.

The popular Twilight Market returns to Conway Square on Friday 7 August, 3pm–8pm, bringing together art, crafts and live music. Visitors can also enjoy Arts Night at Ards Arts Centre offering a lively programme of demonstrations and interactive activities, inviting everyone to try their hand at something new.

To celebrate the arrival of the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil, Ards Arts Centre will host a special Musical Instruments: Meet the Maker event on 5 August. This showcase will feature handcrafted instruments by leading local makers including William Smyth Harps, Boardman Violins and Avalon Guitars.

We are delighted to announce that this year’s Visual Artist in Residence at Ards Arts Centre is Ross Miley, who will be working on-site in the Sunburst Gallery from 30 July – 22 August. Call in and watch him at work!

The programme also includes bookable hands-on workshops at Ards Arts Centre and Artist Own Studio Workshops, the Open Studio Weekend and lots more!
