Why Europe?
I have always wanted to dance in Europe and I never really gave myself an opportunity to do that. I felt I was just getting older and in many ways over the last two years I was thinking my career was dead in the water in Perth. I really wasn’t getting to work creatively.

Last year I was successful auditioning for Tanz Company Gervasi and in obtaining funding to do a 5 week professional development tour. These opportunities gave me some momentum and this year I was able to spend the time working on my solo show, “In to the Deep” which I mentioned earlier, in two residencies, one in Berlin and then one in Vienna. I am now in rehearsal for Tanz Company Gervasi’s show, Shifting Lines which will premiere in ImpulsTanz in Vienna in July
I am very happy and very grateful for all the opportunities people have given me. It was always dream and I do feel quite satisfied that I have actually managed to make my dream come to fruition.
Where to Now?
I can’t remember the last time I have been able to work creatively for this length of time. It’s nearly 4 months now and it really has been wonderful.
I have been working with the Light Theatre Company in Rostrevor, Northern Ireland with Alistair Livingston on a project called, “Lucia Dances”, about Lucia Joyce, James Joyce’s daughter and that has been a great experience.
I am just going to keep going on this dancing journey for as long as I can. Hopefully I will get to do more work on the “Lucia Dances” project and present “In to the Deep” next year.
