Voicing the Void – One Memory, Five Sentences – 17 June

Join poet Matthew Rice for a creative writing workshop exploring memory through poetry and storytelling.

Join us at our city centre office on Fountain Street for a creative writing workshop led by published poet Matthew Rice.

This is the second session in a series of workshops designed and facilitated by Matthew. Participants will have the opportunity to explore memory through poetry and creative writing, using a restorative storytelling approach to reflect on and draw from personal experiences. Through a range of creative exercises and prompts, participants will be supported to transform memories into original poems in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.

As this workshop takes place during World Loneliness Week, we particularly encourage anyone who may be feeling isolated, or who has never attended a Voicing the Void workshop before, to come along. There is no need to know anyone in advance—everyone is welcome. We believe that strength comes through connection, and we are always keen to welcome new people into our growing community.

This event has been made possible through funding from the Belfast City Council Community Recovery Fund.
