Belfast Exposed brings together political, academic and cultural leaders to explore one of the most significant issues facing the creative industries today.
As artificial intelligence continues to reshape the way we create, communicate and consume culture, Belfast Exposed is hosting AI, Art and Society: A Public Conversation, a special public panel exploring the opportunities, challenges and ethical questions surrounding AI in contemporary creative practice.
The event will bring together voices from politics, academia and the arts to discuss how artificial intelligence is influencing artists, audiences, education, copyright, creativity and public policy. Rather than seeking simple answers, the discussion will provide an opportunity to examine a rapidly evolving subject from multiple perspectives and encourage meaningful public dialogue.

The conversation comes at a time when AI is generating significant public debate across the cultural sector. From questions around authorship and copyright to concerns about ethics, transparency and artistic integrity, AI is challenging long-held assumptions about creativity while also opening new possibilities for innovation and expression.
As one of Northern Ireland’s leading visual arts organisations, Belfast Exposed has always championed photography and visual culture as a platform for discussion, critical thinking and social engagement. Throughout its forty-year history, the organisation has presented work that addresses important social, political and cultural issues, believing that galleries should be places where difficult conversations can be explored respectfully and openly.
