This is a work-in-progress curation of Jenni’s Motherhood Places project work. Previously described as a landscape painter, during the pre-school years she made art in bits and pieces as time allowed. Much of that was in-situ wherever she was paused with free hands, and eventually her sketchbooks no longer contained just landscapes, but the wider scope of places. Some domestic, featuring objects and ideas – these fragments chart the building of a childhood and in assembling the collection, ask questions about identity and heritage to be answered in future work.
